At this time, The Moonsboro Collective is an idea, a hope that someday this can be a real place. In the meantime, it is a manifestation of all my personalities and non-linear thought processes.

There was a time when there was a farm on the horizon, the location being Boonsboro, MD.

You’re still asking why Moonsboro? OK, I’ll get there.

Wanting to create this “Eureka” (think Google Sci-fi Channel) for the arts, I thought it would most likely be a virtual space.

But why MOONSBORO?

I’m also Puerto Rican. There is a saying that refers to those who have left the island and live abroad (diaspora in Spanish), “Boricua en la Luna,” which is a reference to a folky Puerto Rican song. But for now, let’s focus on Moonsboro.

Glad you asked! I don’t know. I thought it was pretty clever to just switch the B for the M, taking it from Boon to the Moon (get it?).
